If you are age 16 or over and want to improve your English, this course is for you. You can have a long course or just a short course to brush your English up. It’s up to you.
15 hours for the 20-lesson morning course. We have classes at five levels based on the Council of Europe Framework
We give you a test when you arrive to check your level. Your teachers assess your progress every week, and you will have a test and a tutorial every month.
We use Communicative Language Teaching – you learn to use your English by using your English. There is a strong focus on speaking and listening, and you will spend a lot of time working together with your classmates. We also integrate grammar and vocabulary work with practice in the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Yes, we lend you a coursebook (you don’t have to pay extra). Your teacher will use the coursebook as a basis for your course, but he or she will also bring in extra materials.
IELTS – this exam is especially useful if you want to study at a British university or college.
If your English is intermediate or above, you can transfer to the IELTS course for the same price as General English 28 lessons.
You can also take TOEIC or TOEFL while you are at LTC, and we often run First Certificate classes..
Yes, provided you attend 80% or more of your lessons. You will get a certificate that says when you studied here and what level your English is now, plus a report from your teacher.
