COURSES FOR ADULT STUDENTS (AGE 16+)
General English Courses

General English + IELTS Exam Preparation

Intermediate to advanced levels only (Levels B1-C1).  General English in the mornings, IELTS exam preparation in the afternoons.
Course Start Dates: Any Monday (or Tuesday in a week that begins on a public holiday).
You can take IELTS in Eastbourne every month. Exam fee approximately £110. The Exam Preparation and General English courses are the same price so students can easily change from General English to Exam preparation when they are ready.
Cambridge First Certificate Exam Preparation

Course Dates: 22 March - 11 June, 20 September - 10 December (both 12 weeks)

Upper intermediate (Level B2) only.  First Certificate exam preparation in the mornings.  Students taking 28 lessons can choose between General English and IELTS exam preparation in the afternoons.

Exam fee approximately £98. The Exam Preparation and General English courses are the same price so students can easily change from General English to Exam Peparation when they are ready.
Summer Afternoon Course
Cost per week (20 lessons) £95 7 July - 15 August only

Course Start Dates: Any Monday. We cannot accept beginners on this course.
Individual Tuition (General or Business English)
Cost per lesson £35 All lessons are 45 minutes.

Course Start Dates: Any Monday (or Tuesday in a week that begins on a public holiday).
Students can combine Individual Tuition with other courses, for example General English 20 lessons in the mornings and Individual Tuition in the afternoons.

We CAN accept beginners (Level A1) for Individual Tuition .
Enrolment Fee
£50. Payable once only
CAS Fee
£10. Payable once only

The CAS Fee is only for students who need a General Student Visa (students from outside the European Union & Switzerland who wish to study for six months or longer).

Important Information for Adult Students
  • There are no classes on public holidays: Friday 2 April, Monday 5 April, Monday 3 May, Monday 31 May, Monday 30 August.
  • The College is closed for Christmas from Monday 20 December 2010. It reopens on Monday 3 January 2011.
  • All lessons are 45 minutes. 20 lessons = 15 hours in the mornings (except Summer Afternoon Course). 28 lessons = 21 hours in the mornings and afternoons; there are no lessons on Friday afternoons.
  • General English classes start at 09:00, Monday - Friday.
  • Summer Afternoon Course classes start at 13:45, Monday - Friday.
  • Age range from 16 years; average age 26 (in summer the average age may be lower).
  • Course fees must be paid in advance to qualify for lower prices for longer courses.
  • Excursions and activities are not included in the tuition fees.  Day trips at the weekend usually cost £25-£30.
  • Maximum class size 12 students.
COURSES FOR YOUNG LEARNERS (AGE 10 - 16)
Young Learner Summer School
Cost per week £420 13 June - 28 August

This package price includes: 20 lessons per week.

  • Classes start at 09:00, all lessons are 45 minutes. Maximum class size 16.
  • Shared residential accommodation: full board. Students age 13 or over can choose shared host family accommodation.
  • Full social programme of activities and excursions including full day excursion every Saturday. All costs included.
  • Enrolment Fee.

Course dates: 14 June - 27 August. Students can enrol to start any Monday for 1 - 10 weeks.    However, for legal reasons, students age under 16 cannot stay in the same accommodation for more than four weeks.

Please arrive on a Sunday and leave on a Sunday, except 28 August when students should leave on the Saturday.

  Half Board

Homestay accommodation costs £5 extra per week from 13 June to 29 August.

Half Board accommodation costs £12 extra per week over the Christmas Holiday and includes lunch.
Single Room £100 per week
Shared Room £92 per week
  • Shared room accommodation for adults is for friends or family only.
  • Half board accommodation includes lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
  • All Young Learner courses include lunch at the College Monday to Friday.
  • Please arrive at your homestay on Sunday and leave on Saturday or Sunday.
  • Self catering or bed and breakfast acommodation may also be available. Details on request

Park and Assist service (driver checks student in at airport on return journey) £16 extra.

We arrange Park and Assist for all unaccompanied students on Young Learner programmes.

Deposit and Payment
You must complete an Enrolment Form and pay a £200 deposit when you book. Please pay the rest 3 weeks before the start of your course. Please give us the name of the student when you make a payment. There are 3 ways to pay:

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations must be made in writing and confirmed by the school. Cancellations received more than 14 days before a course begins may be charged an administration fee of £50. Cancellations received less than 14 days before a course begins will be charged an adminstration fee of £200. Students who postpone 1 week or less before the start of their course will be charged 1 week’s accommodation. Students who arrive after the start of the course, who are absent during the course, or leave before the end of the course receive no refund. If the school cancels a course a complete refund will be given.

We recommend that all students have insurance.
